About LaFabre

LaFabre is an artisanal furniture-making company that I founded in 2017.

I've always felt the need to take ideas out of their boxes, to juggle with concepts.

From the beginning of my path in woodworking, I discovered this world of infinite possibilities and my interest in wood quickly turned into a deep, visceral passion. It has become a vehicle to express myself, explore, make a difference, and push back the barriers.

Majestic, the beauty of nature fascinates me, the creativity and resilience of humans impress me.

This is why LaFabre's mission is to enhance the authentic beauty of the material and reveal the richness of our know-how and heritage, by creating useful objects that embellish everyday life.

But why "LaFabre", exactly?

The company name was inspired by the etymology of my family's name, Lefebvre.

The "U" was formerly written as a "V", Lefebvre was therefore called "Lefebure". The origin of this name comes from the Latin word "Faber", which means "blacksmith", or "man who works a material".

Given that I am a "woman who works a material", I found it natural to name my company "LaFabre".

I prioritize respect for the environment and humans in all areas of the business, including the supplying. The wood used are entirely indigenous species and coming from local sources, in order to reduce the ecological impact of my production and support our local economy.
